A Little background...Village Financial Services Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Personal Touch Financial Services Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Village Financial Services was established in 1989. Since then we have helped thousands of customers to obtain mortgage and insurance facilities. We estimate that since we first set up in business we have arranged over 200 million pounds worth of mortgages. In 1995 our premises at 92 School Road were extended and improved to give shop frontage, this has seen a significant increase in the level of direct business and customer recognition in the high street. A change in partnership in both 1996 and 1999 has seen the business develop into its present structure with David Wood the Managing Director. David is married with two children, lives locally and has over 14 years mortgage broking experience. Village Financial Services not only serve the needs of new customers to our business, but equally as important we continue to advise our existing customers when their mortgage comes up for renewal. David Wood says "Obviously getting the most appropriate rate and professional advice is important, however we go that extra mile by keeping in touch with our customers where we can, to advise them if and when they can change their mortgage. We feel that this is just the start of a long-term professional relationship. Perhaps that is why over 50% of our business is from recommendations and customers coming back to us." All of our consultants are kept up to date with the latest market news and trends all have achieved the industries professional qualification, the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practise (CeMAP). We are completely impartial in our choice of lenders and are constantly investigating and analysing new products and market trends. You can be sure that any recommendation is made on the back of extensive knowledge and research. In the last six months alone we have dealt with or researched over 70 lenders in making recommendations to our customers. Being based in the heart of Tilehurst it is important to support local causes. We sponsor Tilehurst United Football club who run two teams in the Reading Sunday league.
